I need to get some chickens that will eat all these fuckers. I had to bring my cacti in because they were starting to eat them too.

You're in Texas right? My mom has mentioned how insane the grasshoppers are there. Apparently they actually are close to plague proportions this summer, at least according to some DFW news channel.

And Gumby, yes they are a plague at my house. Walking outside is like walking into a fucking grasshopper bomb.

The bastards just start jumping everywhere, it's insane.

Apparently this is the result of a warm winter as they have had a longer mating season or something.

I hear chickens eat em so I'm thinking about getting some.

Would be nice to have fresh eggs too :strokebeard:

My parents said there is an ungodly amount of frogs and toads in their yard as a result of the grasshoppers. And consequently, toad shit is EVERYWHERE.
