Amazing, this is the most complete coverage of the peyote ritual I have seen.it brings great sadness to me to see such a wonderful and powerful plant disappearing from the wild. However the cactus itself seems eternal, like there will always be a peyote hiding out behind a bush chilling with that enigmatic deer.

Last of the Medicine Men is a good documentary. That Matsewa is a really cool Marakame. He's bringing the good medicine of his people to the outsiders for learning and cultural exchange. I hope to be visiting a family in Nayarit of huichole lineage in the fall to do just what these pilgrims are in the video. I hope to see Wirikuta at least one time before it's gone/im gone.

right on. would be a life time experience to go on one of these treks.

what's amazing is that they used to do this entire thing on foot before they built roads.
