"delete all" button deletes all?

In the pm folder there is a button at the bottom saying 'delete marked' which works fine. Up top it says 'delete all' which i have never clicked. Does that delete all contents of your inbox even unchecked messages? Dumb question but i couldn't find the answer.

Yes, it deletes all the messages in the current folder whether they're checked or not.
