QFT, I find that anticipating a trip usually ruins it - whether minimal effects on low doses or wandering outside your box of expectation on high doses. Usually a good practice to go with the follow, let it just flow through you - a la orgasm.

Yea...Lots of sugar does make it worse, way harsh & shitty feeling on the stomach too. There has been an occasion or two where put a hefty spoonful of honey into a full cups worth of cacti tea, it most definitely helped cut down the bitter bite that it has. The actual cacti like taste doesn't bother me, it is just the incredibly intense bitter funk that comes along with it....It's really not that bad, depending on how much liquid you have to drink, people make it sound worse than it is, though there's nothing pleasant about it haha.

I consider getting over and ignoring petty small things, such as a taste, part of the whole experience when it comes to plants/cacti/fungi. With that said, I am always open to experimenting with different routes of administration. Speaking of which, how much liquid did you plug, how many inches worth of cacti was it ?
