dea interception on celphones

can anyone lay down the basics on this?

are there ears constantly listening in?

is it an infringement of rights?

I don't know, but a bugger is reletively simple to make, so chances are someone has listened in. I doubt they are too often though, or I'd be in prison by now.

What kind of resources would it take to listen in on every cell conversation around the clock. Not to mention that they stillo have to listen to hard line and everything else. The CIA doesn't even have the resources to interperate all the info they get in.
I think that wie tap laws have changed to reflect the wireless age but I think they still have to get a court order to listen to conversations and use a recording as evidence. However I think they can listen for the intent of gaining leads without a warrent but it would not be admissible in court. But they can use those leads in the investigation.

actually after the patriot act they dont need a court order to get a wire tap.

It's not about living in fear, it's about not saying stuff on the phone that could get you in trouble later (common sense?). Cell phones aren't from what I understand the most secure medium.

i have always thought it was an inevitable reality. i mean i know they cant use what they hear legally in court, but i know they have it all recording somewhere.

as for the fear, the way i see it is, i really dont doubt that all the great new technology we have today, was invented 10 years ago.

we have to face it we are all the sheep, and the great shepard, is just throwing us his scraps.

however, revolution is possible, and i think vital as well, and people are becomming more and more aware of the ruthlessness of big brother. there are just too many smoking guns not to be.
