Hands Down, Most Insane Drummer Ever
    #16018910 -

So any drummers on this forum, or fans of metal, or fans of epic shit in general; ya'll need to see this feat of badassery.

I dare you to find me another drummer that can do this.

Carl Palmer, of Emerson, Lake and Palmer is in my opinion the best of all time.

Check this solo done on just one - yes, folks, that's right, one - drum.

Go to Youtube to watch this vid, then click on some of the other vids of Palmer in the sidebar. Like this one, for example -

Or this. I was at that concert, by the way, ELP playing at the Montreal Olympic Stadium with the London Symphony Orchestra.

That's not to say your guy isn't a good drummer - he is that. But Palmer is a god.

And here is one of the finest pieces of Prog Rock ever put to vinyl. Peerless bass line, drum work tighter than a tick's ass, and soaring phat analog synth tones all coming together in one delicious pudding. Yum!

This piece was made for headphones. Or for a car stereo with serious deep bass capability (check 4:09 - 4:13).

You're welcome.

I thought the topic was insane drummers, not metal drummers. My bad.

Well, metal is a highly acquired taste. It takes time conquer the raw untamed power and turn it against itself, using it to only empower yourself.

IMHO it has to be Gene Hoglan, they call him "The atomic clock" because of how precise he is.
