not really into the kiddie type animes.

gantz - ultraviolent alien sci-fi type anime, probably a wrong discription.

berserk - ultraviolent medieval sci-fi type anime.

hellsing - violent vampire type anime.

for a person who has only shounen types of animes listed as your favourites, you sure do talk a lot about kids.  :bigjoint: jk

I've seen some good animes while stoned, my all time favorite being: Samurai Champloo, Neon Genesis Eva, Monster - beats DN anytime, anyday - Ergo Proxy, SERIAL EXPERIMENTAL LAIN, and..one of my personal favourites, only available in manga, Liar game, if you're into mindgames and shiz. Ninja Scroll is pretty good too. The classic movies are sth def worth watching, like Princess Mononoke, Chihiro's trip and so on..

Full metal alchemist. And FMA brotherhood. Both are good. The first is the americanized version of the manga that has a little bit different of a story, but brotherhood follows the manta a lot better, and is just all around better. Kenshin is really good too, so is cowboy bebop. I have all of the really popular animes though.. I've been thinking about making a massive 90 gig torrent for all of it.

Any anime fan should watch Satoshi Kon's movies and the 1995 film called Memories.

Good stuff.

Are you referring to the Chrono Trigger/Chrono Cross games? Because those have nothing do with Chrno Crusade the anime lol.. Good anime and good games though

I just watched Claymore on Netflix
it was really good
but really got pretty thin by the end
and with only 26 episodes that's a huge let down

Witch Hunter Robin has some of the most amazing backdrops I've ever seen, and the story-line is very interesting. Excellent anime. I also endorse Eden of the East, Mushi-shi, and Full Metal Alchemist is pretty touching.

Haven't watched it yet myself, but I've heard good things about Madoka Magica. The artwork is apparently deceiving, and the storylines get quite dark. I guess think Sailor Moon for adults or something.

Also, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni has a few interesting genre shifts, and it plays on a lot of "what-if" scenarios. Every few episodes, the stage is reset so to speak, and character storylines play out differently with a few elements remaining consistent to keep a master story intact. Good stuff.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni is also pretty suave. Same creators obviously, but a totally different setting with new characters and all, and a dash of fantasy thrown in.
