How to stop mucus buildup in the nose

Decongestants like pseudoephedrine stop the nasal passage from getting constricted but they don't stop mucus from forming in the nose. I have some kinda flu right now and I don't wanna be blowing my nose every 5 minutes when I'm in college and spread my flu to everyone in the class. What drugs prevent mucus from being formed in the nose? Would antihistamines do it? My nose keeps getting itchy and making me sneeze too. If that happens when my nose is full of mucus, the outcome won't be pleasant lol.

Get a netipot and do a sinurinse before you go to class.
You'll be amazed at how long this leaves you feeling refreshed.

Thanks, first time I've heard of one of these things. Today I tried sudafed nasal spray, sudafed tablets, pouring salt water into my nostrils and antihistamines but nothing worked. What do you rinse with though? Salt water?

Saline solution. Salt burns too much.
I buy saline packets for the brand of netipot that I use.
Pouring water in your nose doesn't work so good.
The netipot helps regulate the flow of water, and the packets are premixed for the amount of fluid it holds.
Highly recommended.

stop eating dairy products. that's really the only way
