Horoscopes

utter horse shit or is there some validity? I realize people will try to make connections to validate a horoscope but when I occasionally check mine it is strikingly accurate.

Thats because they are strikingly ambiguous. Although I'm sure theres SOMETHING to it, I just haven't figured out what that is yet.

I think that its possible our futures are mapped in the sky, but I also don't think that people have the ability to interpret them with any reliability.

That's a really good way of putting it.

Talking to a friend.

Well, these ARE huge planets we're talking about. How could they NOT influence our lives? Shit, everything on this earth affects our lives and look how small they are.

Now whether the whole taurus/Gemini/etc. is true? Not in the least.

Personally, I think the whole thing is a bunch of horseshit.

Oh look it's this thread again!

Horoscopes = incomplete truth, consequently bullshit

astrology = provable, measurable phenomena tracking the movement of planets, stars, and comets, the interactions of solar octaves and gravity, and the rulership of planets over signs and aspects of mankind.

Astrology isn't a perfectly understood science, and it's not predictive, but it is reveling.

Complete garbage. Constellations are inventions of human perception. Studies have shown that the moon doesn't even have an affect on our individual body chemistry, so stars several million light years away certainly don't either.

Yeah i was doing some interesting reading on gravity the other day.  It compared dinosaurs to modern day elephants and stated that the elephant approaches the limit of how much muscle weight a skeleton can support under earth's current gravity.

It was determined that dinosaurs are physically impossible because the ratio of muscle to bone weight would cause the animal to collapse under it's own weight.  So it is theorized that earth's gravity may have been much lower back then.

I bring that up to explain we really don't know everything about gravity, which is one force behind astrology.

The other thing is that gravity is a relatively weak force, out of the other types of force in the universe, but it is the only one that can be felt from far away.  Things like magnetism, forget about it!

gravity is the weakest type of known force in the universe, but it can be felt from damn far away.  If the moon can pull the ocean some 260,000 miles away,  What can Jupiter do...it's 40 times the size of the moon.  Granted it's 2000 times farther away from the earth, but that ain't nothin to good old gravity!

there's patterns and shit too, I've been getting into astrology and I'm starting to see how it has parallels to tarot cards and tarot readings too.

Kind of interesting that just a normal deck of cards is based off of the earth's orbit around sun.  52 weeks in a year...how many cards are in a deck?  hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

edit 4 suites 4 seasons....

edit

Correct, and if we apply a value to each card, beginning with an Ace equals 1, 2 equals 2 and so on until we get to Jack which we will say equals eleven, queen equals twelve, King equals thirteen. If you add all the cards together by their assigned values, what do we come up with?

Law of universal gravitation states that every point mass in the universe attracts every other point mass with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.

our retaliation to the cosmic bodies effect us greatly
weather or not we can predict how and when is up to some debate
