If you have a car that's the best way to get around....bus/plane is a good way to get to the first show...then you can hitch rides to the next show from there via cardboard sign.

If you have a car you can sleep in it...if it's warm enough you can camp...it's pretty easy to find 5-10 people to pitch in on a hotel so that it cost's next to nothing...and there is your shower right there.

I often stop by hotels and get the free breakfast...buy something for lunch...and usually get dinner from one of the vendors on lot.

If you're gonna be sleepin in the car during the day invest in a pair of blinders.


As for work...if you know somebody who blows glass, mines gems, wire wraps, makes shirts, makes pins, makes patches, stickers, etc, etc, etc...ask about wholesale...unless you of course make something yourself, then you can just sell that.

If not then some good options are beer and food...beer is the easiest but the least lucrative...you can buy a case of cheap beer, put it in a cooler with ice and double your money selling them for a buck.
If you have a table, gas grill, etc, food can be quite lucrative. I often sell falafel sandwhiches if Im not vending something else.

selling water you make a lot of dough imo.  beer too...but water is cheap as hell at lowes, home depot, meijer, etc...24 for like 4 dollars.  a dollar a piece is 5x profit.  sure you gotta sell a lot but people buy the shit out of water.  most venues you're allowed to take in factory sealed water bottles...so stand outside the gates and tell everyone how the water inside is 8 dollars but here its only 1 dollar and people will buy them up...also leave the shows when the encore starts, unless its a face melter, and get set up outside the gates with your cooler...people buy the shit out of waters then too.

what tour you plan on doing? does it start with a P and end with a hish?

Rule # 1 - Have a car. You got that so, check.

Rule # 2 - Bring like 200$ in quarters. ( Why? ) You're gonna want to stop at laundry mats and do laundry yes? Also, if the only place you can find to park is one of those "Pay me with a Quarter" machines, you'll need plenty for the long concerts.

Rule # 3 - Gas station Bathrooms are the friend. Not the enemy. ( Outside bathrooms ONLY!! ) Again you may ask.. "ew wtf.. why?!" Let me tell you! The doors LOCK. The may look gross, but fuck it, y'know? You can take "ready-made" showers in there, shave, etc. Get the water luke warm, and BAM! You can wash your hair, your body, etc. No one will bother you in those.

Rule # 4 - NO SOUVENIERS! Seriously. Get a shirt here and there, but you don't want to go through 8grand and be like "Fuck.. I need Gas! Food! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!! Take it easy on the shopping.

Rule # 5 - If you must eat out. Be smart. Yeah Mcdonalds can sell you a burger for 1.07$ but C'mon. You're gonna get fat! A year in a car. Mostly driving. Not cool! Get something inexpensive and healthy. Salads with grilled chicken are best.

Rule # 5 - No drugs! You're going to be driving a lot. That leaves a lot of room for being pulled over. Keep the pot stash to a min. If you want drugs at the concert, talk to people. Be social. I can't tell you how many J's I've smoked at concerts from other people. Live it up that way.

Rule # 6 - Wal mart parking lots. - Every town pretty much has a wal mart. OR kmart. Sleep in your car there. Park far away, and bam! You're set!  If it's raining and too cold, find a last minute motel for like 50-60$ a night. They'll keep you warm, and are a nice change from your car, and sink showers. Trust me. You have 8 grand it will be nice once in a while.

Rule # 7 - GPS. Enough said.

Good luck OP. Those are my personal rules. When I turned 16 I had 2 grand saved up, bought a car for 1grand insured it for 1 grand, Got a job for 6 months, saved up like 3 grand, and that's what I did. I traveled. For a year and a half. You won't regret. Just follow my rules.
