Took suboxone last night; feel like crap today.

I went to my friend's house last night, and we split a Sub. Actually we each only took 1/4 of a pill. We took it sublingually.

It was my first time doing it, and I was really skeptical such a little amount would work. Well about 30 - 45 mins into it, I'm opeing out pretty hard.. which is weird because he told me it wasn't like an opiate high. About 2 hours into it, and my vision becomes blurry, I'm starting to nod out.. I'm feeling really great at this point.

So whatever, I came home at about 3am, and tried getting to sleep. I was up I'd say once maybe twice every hour. I had cold sweats real bad, and my mind was just wandering,.. racing. Finally got up around 8:30 after maybe getting 2 -3 hours of sleep total (you know how it's hard to perceive time when you;re asleep).

I've thrown up 3 times since I've been out of bed, and have cold sweats on and off. And what's weird is I still feel the effects of the pill. It's 1:15pm here, and I dosed at 11pm last night.

Anyway, yea, is this normal?

Yes, it's normal, everyone feels like fucking shit the day after they do bupe, it's the only opiate I've ever fucked with and the sickness I got the next day made me never try it again.

I'm not sure why you took it to begin with?
I mean you're feeling the after-effects of it, and asking us if that's what did it to you?
Yes, yes it is. It can get worse too.
Last I checked suboxone was for people withdrawing from hardcore heroin addiction.
Which withdrawing from heroin alone is enough to kill you.
I don't understand why people take it recreationally.

Just like smoking salvia, for fun :confused:

Like the others said its normal, Ive been on bupe maintenance for a year and a half now and even now on the odd occassion if I havent had anything to eat in the morning before I dose I get some bad nausea/painful hunger pang feelings.  Bupe is strong shit if you arent dependant on opiates, I read in one of the pamphlets that came with it from the pharmacy that "it has been reported that in opiate naive individuals doses of 2mg have been fatal" so yeah be careful.

I took it because of what he was telling me about it.
I did a little research on it, and made a post asking members here about it about a week prior. :shrug: It didn't seem like a bad idea.

Also, it was free so I figured what the hell?

Wow, thanks for telling me. I'm not sure the dose I took. After looking it up, it appears the pill was 2mg, but I only took a quarter of it. So .5mg.

I don't plan on doing it again, but I'm glad I did it. I had a great time on it.

When i was comin off of dilaudid it was pretty dam bad.and im sure a serious h habit feels just as bad if not worse.

You cant die from withdrawaling from heroin/opiates alone, you would have to have a pre existing condition for that.  I know why people take it recreationaly, because its a strong opioid if you arent an addict and can induce awesome euphoria Ive heard from my friends who chip with it once in awhile.  I dont feel high because Ive been on it for so long but I know for damn sure they are enjoying themselves when they take it, they nod all over themselves for hours on end.  If people are new to it they should never take more than .5mgs the first time or else they will get what happened to the OP.

I asked if it was normal to feel this way.
I was asking you if that was your recommendation to not take it again..

I mean, do whatever the hell you want. Don't listen to me. Take methadone too while you are at it.
Just because something doesn't seem like a bad idea on paper doesn't mean it's a good idea.
Just do heroin or opium if you want a good opiate high. Don't fuck with the pharms unless you need them. That's my advice.
