free photoshop

hi everyone,

I'm looking for something like photoshop that is simplier and free, it needs to make gif too as I'd like to show some people what it's like when I halucinate on shrooms and LSD.

Seriously they charge ~800+$ for the full version because frankly nothing else competes. At least not for the same tasks or the variety of tasks Photoshop is capable of handling.

Just pirate it. Pay for it if you need it for a commercial enterprise, or settle for one of the cheap versions.

GIMP is great but there are lots of things it can't handle, and learning it's (extremely quirky) inputs will throw you off if you ever decide to learn the more professional programs.

Plus I've noticed most gimp users become little fan boys of the program and try to hold it equal to photoshop in a lot of regards when that just not realistic. torrent that bitch trust me

Fair enough, considering animated gifs is one of the things Photoshop doesn't do incredibly well. (at least last I checked years ago)

For that, I would recommend pirating an older image editing program (or just finding a copy, if they still exist) of Paint Shop Pro. I remember it having a gif builder that let you handle all the frames and everything, it was pretty great.

lol the devil didn't stayed too long with me :P

I checked and gimp does do .gif! but by looking at the screenshot I have no idea how it work but I could always learn.

the closer to photoshop the better actually as I have some experience with it, anyway thanks for the suggestion

well I don't want to pirate it and woudn't even know how to do it, and I don't need all the feature they have but I def need more than "paint" loll basicaly I wanna make some trippy gif and retouch some scanned drawing I made

edit: yeah I remember paint shop pro, it might do it

the only people who pay for photoshop or adobe software in general are those who make enough money from it to do so. just steal it, its the american way. GIMP is great in all, but photoshop is a straight up powerhouse, esp once you learn how to use it properly and set it up in such a way that you can maximize your workspace.
