Coastal zone park.

Gills:
Pan.cinctulus: Brown to black
Panaeolopsis: Black
Agaricus Bernardi: Pink


Stem:

Agaricus Bernardi: Thick

Cap:
Pan.cinctulus: Brown with ring
Panaeolopsis: tan to off white
Agaricus Bernardi: white with some scales

Spore print color:
Pan.cinctulus: Black
Panaeolopsis: Jet Black
Agaricus Bernardi: Brown

Bruising:

those are definetly cincts, and those are definetly sweet Panaeolopsis sp. ! i cant wait to find those !! :congrats:


and thats a fine looking Agaricus tooo! whats it smell like ?

Thanks. The bernardi smells super earthy / shroomy. I probably walked over it yesterday before it surfaced.

I think the Agaricus is A. bitorquis, was that reddish parts near the gill context red staining or just some discoloring?

Every cut produced light pink stain. Some of the others I have taken from this area have more staining around the top of the cap and sometimes a deeper red. I'll probably get more this week. This spot is just a few blocks from the ocean and I have harvested one a week for the last few months. The mushroom does not require additional salt when cooking. Thanks for the input. I find agaricus sp. to very challenging to identify.
