Which fluorescent bulb is best for trees?
    #15099759 -

I got a few baby Sequoia Sempervirens(bonsai) I plan to stick in my north-facing window for over the winter... of course this won't be enough light so I want to add a fluorescent to compensate for the lack of natural light. Someone in another forum said something about T5s, but I know very little about them and I also don't know if that type of bulb works well in combination with indirect, north-facing window light.

So which bulb would be best for this type of tree that will also be getting some natural light as well?

Dr :ronpaul: says to stop trying to treat the side-effects of big government and focus on the core issues. End the Federal Reserve/audit the gold reserves at Fort Knox, abolish the IRS, end all wars and occupancies, stop the building of an empire that will inevitably fail, and cut all unconstitutional federal programs. Put the power back in the peoples' hands by ending this nanny-state.

t5's i believe are only for grow lights, they are more expensive but the best for growing plants, a shop light is cheaper, still works but uses t8 or t12 bulbs, i have 2 grow lights with t5's and on shop light with a t8. I'm talking about 2ft and 4ft lights if your just buying a bulb go to the hydroponics store and get a bulb thats for growing plants
