Just ordered a ukulele

I play the four string bass as well. One of my friends got one for his birthday. I had so much fun playing it I ordered one.

Honestly. Cancel the fucking order.

I impulsed bought a uke, cost me 89$ had the guy tune it for me to the best sound, left feeling awesome.

Got home, played it for about a week or two, and I was like ... "Aww what the FUCK Did I just buy man!?"

It's like an out of tune piece of shit, and just to make sure I wasn't fucking crazy, I brought it to a different shop, had them tune it, said it was perfect, played it again, sounded like garbage.

There isn't much you can do with a Uke, what an awful sound and waste of time.

Mine just collects dust now.

I wanna shoot myself for buying it, there was a used Washburn acoustic guitar for 129$ I should have fucking spent more and got that.

Sorry for ranting.

Burn the uke.

Jesus Bundy.

OP, Ukes are fun instruments. I've had one for a while and I'm still getting the chords memorized. I like it because it's convenient to bring with you. The strings are very light and sensitive, and if you man-handle it, you will bend the notes out of tune constantly. A light touch is key. It's a very relaxed instrument, meant to be played in a relaxed way.

Variety is the spice of life... I doubt he's getting a uke if he doesn't already play some kind of stringed instrument

Don't hate on the ukulele. You just gotta know how to play it properly. Have you heard the Into the Wild Soundtrack by Eddie Vedder? May not be your style but I really enjoy the whole album.

The only tolerable thing that ever came out of a ukulele is the Arrested Development theme tune, and that's only because of pavlovian conditioning or whatever.
