A set of "christmas lights" that can stay up all year round
with a dial or remote that can change color settings
red white blue - Independence day, memorial day, etc
white or multi colored - christmas
green & white - st. Patrick's day
red yellow blue - easter
orange & purple - Halloween

I also had the idea for tv face plates
like the ones for cell phones but for TVs
that way you can match your home decor

I thought I was very clever for inventing a Tequila Mockingbird drink, but it's been done.

This one time tho, I wanted some Apple Pie, so I had to invent the whole universe, time, and space :frown:

EDIT: Oh, but in seriousness, my dad programmed one of the first spam filters for your email. It went right into Outlook and did what the 'spam folders' pretty much do now.

Some inventions:

A revolving door that says pull.

A two thousand foot yo-yo that you use at the grand canyon.

A feminine hygiene spray called 'Sprunt.'

A helicopter that goes underwater.

Well, when I choose the most ridiculous patent I could find, I thought people would call bullshit fairly fast. Turns out, it took about a day.
