Buprenorphine (Subutex, Suboxone, Temgesic) has the best BA if taken sublingually (30%), Acutally IV is suppsoed to be close to 100% and IME insufflated is like 60% but some peoiple will disagree with that statement. Swallow it and you get a wopping 10%.

Most drugs that have  godo oral bioavailability can be absorbed sublingually, but the same does not work vise-versa

I am on 6mb buprenorphine a day in the process of tapering off after having been on various opiates the last half decade.

I was told the naloxone stops it from working if used any other way, especially if used in an IV. But recently I heard people online saying they had were shooting up those suboxone strips with great success... So how does this work? I thought it was the naloxone that stops you from getting a high off it

Usually drugs that are a relatively small molecule, and have a relatively small effective dosage can be taken sublingually.

Drugs I take sublingually:

Recreational:
Methoxetamine
Geranamine

Medicinal:
Nitroglycerin
Benzodiazepines

The nalaxone is smoke and mirrors. It is not active at those minute levels in the pills.

You can sniff, eat (really bad BA), inject, or sublingual the tablets wihtout a problem.

If you inject (which I do not recommend) use a 22um micron wheel filter to filter impurities, as the bupe is 100% water soluable and will pass through.

If you have a low tolerance to opiates, you can get high off bupe.. make sure you take a very low dose <1mg (sublingual) or you will likely get sick (for a long time becuase of the very long halflife).

If you are injecting, remember your dose strength will be tripled, so I would not do anythign over .3mg (or 300 micrograms)

cuz my pharmasist sez no
he sez the doc has to prescribe specifically sublingual verson of ativan
but i trust your opinion over his
