Supporter Accounts Signature Lines Increase

Can We Supporters have a few extra lines in our signature please?

I have wanted to add a few community minded links to my sig but I
always fall short do to the ten line restriction or whatever it is.

Are you bumping up into the character limit (where your signature isn't accepted)? Or the vertical space limit (where the bottom of your signature is cut off)?

Well right now my sig is:


This text has 2468 characters.<----that is at the bottom of the preview window that pops up when I click preview.

But it says this above the text editor box where all the code is available for editing.

Signature (up to 1500 characters). You may use BBCode in your signature

When I edit my sig I usually run into the not accepted because of the vertical limit I think.

In the past it seemed the forum codes and all the entered text counted towards the character limit, rather than just the displayed text.  As a result, the length of URL's would matter even if they were displayed as a single-charecter hyperlink in your signature.

If this is still the way the calculation works, you can try to get around it by shortening the URL's.  Use some of the URL shortning services and then see if you can use those for any links you need.

For small savings you can either forgo some of the forum code for text or load the text you want as an image.  For particular effects, you can try entering the text with underlines, bolds, et cet allready applied, rather than asking the forum to apply the effect.

Ir you include the actual signature you'd like, inside the [ code ] [ /code ] tags, then maybe someone can suggest a way around the limits :smile2:
