For me, as a gay man, sexuality is SOOO complex. You can be a top, a bottom, or versatile, and even in those realms, you can be either submissive, dominant, or a little of both. It's different for everyone. I had a couple good friends who were gay at the time who helped me feel comfortable with my sexuality.

I think your estimation of straight sexuality being monochromatic is bizarre.

On the whole all my sexual adventures have been boring.  I like people not sex.  When i was younger i was super gentle, for a long time.  As i got older i moved away from that.  I don't think i have a preference.

For me its about the person, the moment, the situation.  Everything else is cold mechanics and black hole (poetic license for invisible and pointless) mind games, neither of which really appeal to me no matter how much i indulge in them.
