bought a new microkorg xl and someone swiped my ac adapter and swithed it with my drummachines adapter and apperently you HAVE to use the exact adapter or it turns to shit and overheats and now is unusable...

the store was cool and told me korg should do something about it..but well see..

my as well get in the market for a few new synthesizers..

but i did/do really love the microkorg..

Now that you might have the opportunity, I'd say sell your synthesizer and get a Fender Rhodes or something analogue that you like.  You can even look into a MOOG.  I used to have 2 synths, but I sold them and I now have a full analogue setup(except for the computer to record).  It's great!  Everything sounds authentic, feels great and I'll never have the opportunity to join a crappy cover band off of CL ever again because the lightest keyboard I own takes 2 guys to move.  I really don't see any cons to having an all analogue setup at all.

Edit:  So, yes.  Damn you Korg! And Damn you Guitar Center for pushing compressed digital samples into the music world with your evil empire!
