I think we'd need to see the animal models, determine their relevance to humans, and look at the outcome measures.

Beyond that, some prospective, dose-effect analysis is a must, given the claims.  This is, essentially tox 101 for anyone that has studied it.

Not really... I really hate it when people do it too.

First rule, can't miss it

1)  No Flaming, Baiting, Trolling, or Spamming
This includes no flaming in sigs, member titles, avatars, etc. Absolutely no racism. No illegal pictures, bestiality, scat, scat type porn, offensive porn, mutilated corpses or otherwise offensive pictures.
No Spamming.

Insulting people or making them feel stupid never really helped anyone.

The question is at what point does BPA exposure cause harm?  In standard toxicological studies, this commonly referred to as a NOEL (no observable effect level).  You then develop standards based on the NOEL, and make sure people are below it.

I simply prefer an objective approach to policy-making.  Otherwise its just unfounded, emotionally-based accusations that cannot stand up to scrutiny.  At the point, the only rebuttal is accusing the other person of ignorance, or not knowing.

WAIT

isnt every compound supposed to undergo that kind of testing before it is even ever distributed ever?

"Although BPA was not used in plastics manufacturing until the 1950s, its hormonal activity was reported in 1936 [17]. For decades, products containing BPA were shown not to release the compound, and thus these products were deemed safe. Indeed, the current Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulation regarding allowable levels of BPA exposure is based on these early findings. As recently as 1999, an official of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) stated that no BPA was detected in liquid stored in baby bottles under typical use conditions [18].t same year, however, scientific techniques progressed such that very small levels of BPA could finally be measured accurately. Levels as low as parts per billion (ppb) are now routinely detected in the laboratory. Unfortunately, the ability to detect such low levels in a laboratory environment is often not good enough, since tissues and cells can respond to levels of BPA that are 100 times lower [19]. "

the evidence that it leaches, it builds up within the human body and is toxic to animals satisfies all the qualities for its removal from distribution, and that its distributed to kids who are most sensitive to it, come on, there should be no argument about this..

I think it's best stated in their own words
"But, like all people, I am not qualified, nor do I have the time, to understand all scientific issues. I must rely on others—on the brokers of information: other scientists, medical personnel, the government, regulatory agencies, corporations, nonprofit organizations, and the media, to name a few."
