who likes mashups?

Boy have I got a treat for you.

This album dropped two days ago, and on first playthrough my jaw dropped.
He's got samples from MC Chris, the Rugrats theme, Notorious, Beck, Journey, The Who. These are some of the best mashes I've ever heard. It's dope as dance music, definitely something for a party. But I'm sure as hell enjoying a listen just sitting in my chair.

Listen to this all the way through. You won't be disappointed.

Hmm not bad. When I am bored I also like to make a few mashups. Not as good as this though.

I'm amazed by the diversity more than anything. Half of these songs bring together music that I'd never consider mixing.

crappy track selection, and its irritating you have to like his album on facebook or whatever before you can download it.

edit: also what does dubstep have to do with this album at all?  Its just shitty pop songs mixed with super common rap accapellas.

? i scanned through all of them but 2 and didn't hear any dubstep.

It's an album of mashups. Dubstep is in the title, not the genre.

When i was younger i was really excited about mashups getting big. Stuff like kid 606's "the action packed mentalist", negativland and amon tobin's live sets fricken blew me away.

Somehow mashup now means two gay songs from the radio you would never listen to, smashed together to form one super gay song.

I don't get it.

Yeah for real people are dumb, music nowdays for the most part is dumb
I really hate "modern day mashup music", but the potential for taking already existing music and making something new is massive.

People are just too dumb to realize that.

Have you guys ever heard of the mash up project Legend of Doom?  They mix a lot of popular alternative rock songs, screamo, and hip hop, and throw in audio clips from old movies here and there as well.

I liked the tracks he selected because of nostalgia. and I just followed the link and I could listen to the whole thing.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so I approve of your right to dislike it.  I just do..
