im pretty sure he was talking about weed. and with that in mind heres the best website on the subject www.overgrow.com it will take a few days for the first leaves to unfold then things go much faster. tell us more about your set up. is it outside? or indoors? peace

Soil: doesn't matter as of right now, you can add fertilizer slowly and increase the concentration everytime. Funny thing about MJ is that it'll seem to take as much ferts/miracle grow as you wanna give it, just make sure you increase the concentration slowly.
Temps: Not a set in stone thing, but keeping it over 70 F is good and 90F.
Planting: Root down, it doesn't matter really, but root down helps it sprout out into the soil faster. Otherwise the root has to turn it's direction of growth back down into the soil and all sorts of stuff while the stem and cotyledons gott turn themselves right-side up. It's a big hassle. Root down and you're fine.

chunk the males.. unless your growing for seed..Keep all males as far away from the females as possible. MIles if possible .. If you have a grow and you suddenly find males amongst females,Take em out quicky before it pollinates then your doomed to seedy shit... unless you like Hermaphrodites..hehe........ The potency and overall herb weight is reduced cause most of the energy is converted to making seed.. from what ive heard.. jojoba

indeed everything they said. there is no way to tell sex until you tell them to flower with the light cycle. as soon as you see the males pollen sacs kill them and you can make hash out of them if you want. the soil isnt really that important im growing some outstide in realativly shitty soil and ive done it before with no ill effects just make sure you dont over water(easiest mistake) and feed them on a regular schedule. i just use tomato-vegtable fertilizer. simple miracle grow does wonders dont make a big deal out of it. growing weed is easy, tho it is harder indoors, its still simple. peace

my first plant is poking it's head out now! YAY! i'm gonna hafta get some light on it b4 it starts to strech. If i plant it outside, and put a coke bottle over it to protect it from the wind, do u think it will be fine outside for this time of year?

i just put my seedlings outside and the wind didnt hurt em. but if its colder where you are(obviously so your in canada) the coke bottle should act as a tiny green house id say go for it. outdoors is the way to go for sure. its soooooo much easier. peace

well i put them outside today.. i didn't have a coke bottle on me but the container provides a bit of wind protection untill i can set one up... the bad news is that 2 of my seedlings got burried in an avalanche of dirt 'cause i had to carry them in my backpack.... so now i'm gonna pick them out and reset them upright and with anyluck they'll be fine again.
the problem is it's going to drop to around 2 degress tonight (ghasp) so with any luck they can survive a night untill i figure somethihng out.
