The Grand ol' Bystander Effect
    #14770193 -

India is supposedly the next superpower
but its citizens sit there motionless
while they watch one of their own get bludgeoned to death
maybe they thought the guy being beaten was the bad guy
or they thought it was too risky to get involved since it was 4v1
either way it doesn't look like there are very many heroes in India

Same thing happened to me when I played Neil Armstrong in Moonshot. They found me in an alley in Burbank trying to re-enter the earth's atmosphere in an old refrigerator box.

Not only have much more fucked up bystander effect incidents been reported over here, but we've been a super power and our citizens sit there way more motionless.

What has being a superpower have to do with the willingness of citizens to help fellow citizens?

Because with great power comes great responsibility.

I don't think many citizens wield "great power".

Nope, I possess an awareness of subjectivity instead.

India is not going to be the next superpower.  They're developing quickly but even with our economic downfall the United States still has an EXTREME military advantage over other countries, which says a lot.
China has a way greater chance than India, and that's still far fetched for the time being.

Wrong, completely. India possesses the substance known as "curry". As we all know curry is much like phosphorous in that it can burn through the skin and butthole when consumed. Curry has been found to originate from the rings of Saturn and it has been scientifically proven that it is 26% more potent than uranium. Therefore we can conclude that India is indeed a superpower in the making, a superpower which has had ancient extraterrestrial assistance and may in fact be an alien civilization itself.
