Simple question about dry weight..

I've been reading alot about how people are yielding 50 or so grams (wet) every yield but then don't trip off 16g (wet).

I was wondering if theres any specific formula to figure out the dry weight v wet weight.

For instance W = Wet weight D = dry weight.

W/2 = D -- or something similar, even rule of thumb will be helpful.

I realized this is pretty confusing. What i was wondering is if you can tell how much shrooms weigh dry from just their wet weight.

To make it even more easier to understand, just shift the decimal one spot to the left to go from wet to dry and vice versa.
