The main concern about smoking with tinfoil or beer/soda cans is that it may release fumes that can cause Alzheimer's disease.
Though I remember reading an research study that showed that marijuana can prevent and stops the progression of Alzheimer's disease.
It's like smoking something that causes a disease and something that prevents it.

It's unconfirmed but smoking metal vapors is definitely something to be avoided.

Dont worry about smoked aluminium, you get plenty of it when you eat shrooms grown with vermiculite. Have you seen what the mycelium does to aluminium baking trays?

you dont have to eat the verm, the mushrooms accumulates Al in its tissue that then goes into your body.

I think smoking aluminium vapours is somewhat more dangerous than eating it.

There is no way a regular lighter is vaporizing aluminum, although the paint on the cans or whatever it is is nasty
