Just bought a coconut

How do I open it?

Current ideas are banging it against the curb outside or stabbing it with a screwdriver, but I'm hesitant to do either.

What would Jesus do?

I was in Costa Rica in 2005 and saw some guy almost die from a dropping coconut. He was sitting under a 60-80 foot coconut tree. The locals warned us to not sit under them. I was about 20 feet away from the guy and heard a "thump" "thump" on the ground, he had 2 of them laying about 2-3 feet from him. I said to him "you just almost got killed by a coconut!" He looked a little shocked and immediately got out from under from that tree.
