morel season in nova scotia...

when do morels start growing? and would they grow in wooded pastures?

never hunted them before...im thinking they might start around mid-may..

soon, you should find loads in the woodmulch rosebeds around horton high, i think Mr. getson said they grew around his place, if all else fails ask mr. selig or Mrs. Fleiger. tell them Mitch sent you.

im pretty sure you will have luck in the mulch nearest the smoking section and around the library, but look evrywhere.

ive personally picked thousands in that area.

i was warndering around town last night and noticed quite a bit of mulch beds....some people have them up prospect....and one of the lawns up it is half mulch, with a few pines trees.....then by the scotia bank, from the side of that to the sidewalk, is all mulch. longs lumber mill, they have huge piles of mulch too. and at the new walmart, around there is all new sod.

wonder if these places are of any value?

i'll ask my friends to look at horton once in a while to see if they find any. thanks!
