found on a tree in NH... what is it?
    #14500211 -

Habitat: on a tree not sure of the kind of tree... it was dead though....

Gills: White, gilled, milky white spore print

Stem: there is no stem it just grows off the tree...

Cap: some were smaller but most were quite large.

Spore print color: milky white

Bruising: none

Other information: it is very aromatic, and looks crazy! i was thinking maybe a oyster or something... kinda looked like a white "chicken of the woods". a mushroom guy i know said they were starting to come up out here. NH is comming alive now that the snow is gone! haha

On a side note: does anyone have knowledge of a good field guide i can invest in? i was looking at the audubon firld guide...

well the top of the cap is clean, mostly creamy/white colored, and no "hair" growing them. the gills are not sawtoothed either. but maybe...

those look good!
in addition to them being so wet i think i tainted the batch i found with the one wine cap i also found, i can't get these to taste good in a skillet for some reason, they seem better for the grill maybe?
i am curious how the ones you found were, i am not too far from nh

yeah I identify them as agrocybe as well. Printed brown, caps small, gild attached to a hollow stalk, no bruising. They were really wet too. Been raining alot here.

masspan, I cooked them tonight lightly seasoned cut really thin and sauteed them in a pan. Not too bad but it went well with fresh salmon from this weekends fishing trip.
