It's my first masters class as well as my first rhetorical analysis.  It sucks, I'm afraid, but at least I didn't resort to bullshit stock topics like some people did.  One guy is doing an analysis of baseball announcers' use of metaphors...

Here's the books I'm analyzing:


1. Undoing Yourself with Energized Meditation and Other Devices by Christopher S. Hyatt

2. The Psychopath’s Bible: For the Extreme Individual by Christopher S. Hyatt

3. To Lie is Human: Not Getting Caught is Divine by Christopher S. Hyatt

4. A Modern Shaman’s Guide to a Pregnant Universe by Christopher S. Hyatt & Antero Alli

5. Angel Tech – A Modern Shaman’s Guide to Reality Section by Antero Alli


My professor is also familiar with Terence McKenna's work, as her husband is obsessed with him.  I'm thinking she used to be a partier...

I would recommend Hunter Thompson: The rum diaries for a great piece of fiction.

Also, I don't know if he's been mentioned, but John Grisham is also a great writer.  The Rainmaker is my favorite and a must read for anyone who likes the underdog.

Man...I just like to got to the used book store and walk around flipping though pages till something jumps out at me. We have this place here in Jacksonville called chamblin bookmine, and it's a bookstore that winds thought several buildings, with no apparent order to it's layout. It's like they just kept knocking down walls and expanding the book shelves aren't even really in order they're all hand made and of different lengths and heights; the overall construction of the place feels like a maze with over 2 million books.

Just checkout the roster of author's on New Falcon's site.  Actually, check out Original Falcon instead.


You should definitely post that paper for us to read. You have at least 2-3 people that are interested in checking it out. BTW, if you do start a thread, please PM me and let me know about it, I would probably miss it otherwise. :nyan:
