Delivery to Foreclosed Home?

I have a neighbor who lives in a house diagonal from mine. It's been foreclosed and vacant for the better half of a year. It's on sale but barely anyone stops by. So I thought to myself, instead of getting a P.O. box, I could receive a package from the vacant house. All I would need to do is get a gift card and register it to some random name, so if the shit hits the fan, I can't be found out. I guess the only catch is that it has to be sent by a carrier like FedEx or UPS, cuz I'm pretty sure the mailman knows that no mail has come to that house in months. What's anyones two cents on this?

The family who owned the foreclosed house is probably having their mail held or rerouted so there is a slight chance they might get the package instead of you.

Evan is right, you should check, see if they get any mail other than flyers that people personally drive around and put in there.

Flyers hang on the door knob, but no mail. But if they have mail rerouted does that apply to carrier or just postal? Hence using a gift card.

I came up with a evil plan..

My buddy and I was drunk and came up with this one night on how to get seeds without having it delivered to our house.  We called someone random old friend (someone we really didn't care about) and hung out with her for a bit.  I asked her to come over next week and while she was over at my place, david runs over to her apart. and collects the goodies.

ez peasy since UPS tells you when your package should arrive.
