Can't believe how far he dropped. I think the Saints got the biggest steal in the first round.
I was hoping either Jimmy Smith or Mike Pauncey would drop to the Steelers...guess not.

Not that far of a drop...think most people projected late 1st round.
NFL is gearing to "run by committee"..teams don't want to spend a high pick on a RB...unless he is just a freakish talent like AP.

Eh. I think he is talented, but there are so many running backs available right now, you never know who will be great and who will flop. Some of the best RB's last year weren't even drafted. We will see though, he could turn out to be just as much as a beast in the NFL as college.
On another note, I am from AZ and am very happy with patrick peterson, just gotta trade for a QB and we should be able to win the division.

Haha yeah good idea. Sometimes I could barely even watch that offense last year: 3 and out, 3 and out, 3 and out, interception, FIELD GOAL!!, 3 and out, interception, 3 and out...

i personally find college football to be a joke. The BCS just ruins it for me.

Ingram was a steal, no doubt. I kinda think Nick Fairley was the steal of the draft, though. Around bowl season Nick Fairley was considered by most to be the top pick of the draft. He was dominant in the middle. Last year's Suh...now I'm not saying he's Suh, because it looks like Suh is a once every 10-15 year DT, but Fairley was the Suh of his class if you know what I mean.
He slipped because of character concerns. Not off the field stuff, but some scouts said he was/is lazy.
If it wasn't for that though Fairley probably goes number one. Instead he fell to 13
If he keeps his head on straight there's no reason why Nick Fairley can't be an NFL Probowl level defensive tackle.

I went to tonight's season opener and plan on going to next Friday's game against #21 Missouri, but I havent got around to purchasing season tickets yet. I normally do, or get them as an early birthday present from the family.
do you? I like the basketball games more personally

I took Ingram in Fantasy Football, I am hoping he pans out for me. It is looking to be a smart pick so far but preseason means little, especially for RB's.
Just think how nasty the Lions COULD be. With both Suh and Fairley. And they added Vandenbosh also. With a healthy Stafford, Calvin Johnson and Javid Best back and added Titus Young from Boise. They got a very talented young team

Yeah they're building something that has the potential to be special, I think. LOTS of young, promising talent there in Detroit.
I've heard a number of national media guys who are predicting a run at a wildcard berth for them this season.

I could definitely see it. NFC North just got much harder for this season. Even the Bears are better I think

Yep. The NFC North has the makings of being a brutally unforgiving division. Vikings should be improved, too.

Well, they are hurting in some areas where they were strong in previous years, but I like McNabb (even a shadow of his former self McNabb) over anything they were throwing out at quarterback last year. That alone I think will make them better than the 6 win team they were a season ago.
Not to mention they have the best halfback on earth on their roster...
