Benelli Supernova

Anyone own one? I need a shotgun that will shoot slugs accurately enough for deer (50-100 yards) and also shoot normal spreads of bird shot for geese/turkey. Apparently this gun makes claims to do both, but I don't know much about shotguns. :shrug:

Is this a quality shotgun? Are there other models that can also deliver what I am looking for?

I have a mossberg with two different barrels. One rifled barrel, one skeet barrel. Takes under 30 seconds to change them out.

I own a Supernova.

I've never used slugs in it, but I don't see why it would have a problem with that distance.

Great bird/target shotgun anyway.

I don't have any experience with slugs so I couldn't say. Many slugs come rifled, but yeah I assume a smooth bore shotgun would be less accurate than a rifled bore shotgun when firing a rifled slug.

My Remington 870 20 guage and a previous roommate's Mossberg 500 12 guage. Others as well.

The Benelli holds its own for birds/clays. Wouldn't be my choice for deer, but I'm sure it would kill one if it needed to. :lol:
