Firefox ad-on to delete youtube ads?

On some picture sharing sites there's a website called "live jasmin" that pops up whenever you click on a picture. I was relieved to find an ad-on for Mozilla firefox called "killjasmin", which does just that. It deletes the site before it can even pop up.
Lately I've noticed a shitload of ads sometimes as long as 15 seconds at the beginning of youtube videos. Is there an ad-on to get rid of these advertisements?
The drawbacks with Tubestop is that you can't play videos in HQ, and the videos also won't load in the background if you want to watch them later for example.

download "adblock plus" firefox addon and say goodbye to 98% of ads on the web, youtube ads, fox.com, comedycentral.com, abc.com, fx, etc...
You'll wonder how you ever surfed the web without this addon... it's a must have.

In addition to ABP, another option is to use a customized hosts file like the one from http://hosts-file.net the file /etc/hosts (or windows system drivers something something for you 'doze users) is the first place your computer looks when it needs to resolve a URL. If there's no hosts entry, then it queries a DNS server which then replies with the IP address that you need.
If you map known ad servers to 127.0.0.1 (network shorthand for "this computer") with the hosts file, then the connection drops dead.
This is a technique that I've been using since before ABP was around and it works pretty well. It even works for denying activate.adobe.com One drawback is that the file that I linked to includes some sites that you might not want blocked like imageshack.us and espn3.com for example. So if you're surfing along one day and something just won't load and you're sure it isn't something like noscript getting in the way, remember to check your hosts file. It does however, protect you from some known malware/xss/phishing/whatever sites that ABP won't

I use the YouTube Auto Buffer & Auto HD & Remove Ads Greasemonkey script, mainly to auto HD videos. I don't think it removes the ads at the beginning of the video although I don't remember seeing them since I used the script.

That's cool that it stops the video automatically, but it doesn't seem to choose HD automatically.

Did you change the settings? It's right of the subscribe button and called "autobuffer options" on top of YouTube videos. It doesn't work for embedded videos.

Just do this, with "Easy List Filter".
I didn't even know YouTube had ads until I reformatted my computer and had a fresh install of Firefox without this addon.
