You can't really expect to just come on here and ask that for your 1st post lol.  Maybe you'll get lucky tho, who knows.  A piece of advice - spore vendors abroad, i.e. Canada, Europe - will ship to any state.

Deals are in the marketplace which you can't access yet.  And I don't think the marketplace allows california deals for whatever reason, so you're probably out of luck.  You can't ask for shit like that here.  Wait till you get access to the marketplace, and then try to convince them to allow California trades.

Umm, I'm sorry, but didn't members of this forum explain exactly why you can't ask for shit here?  Nicely explain that when you get access to the marketplace you can ask for trades?  And nicely say that if you are in cali you need to convince the site admins to allow trades to you?  And nicely say it is both against the rules to ask for shit in this forum and against the rules for people from cali to solicit spores?

So sorry for the "lack of friendliness" you've encountered.  Maybe you'd prefer to just be banned for violating the rules that were nicely explained to you?

Technically in CA you can have them. It's just your intent that can incriminate you. I think vendors just avoid it all-around because it's a "Gray Area" and they don't want headaches.

Just go picking for two weekends in Spring, Summer, and Autumn... You'll have all the active spores that you'll ever need anyways.

the gray area is basically you can have spores if they were found inside the state? they just cant be imported or exported I believe.

I was told that you could be banned on here for asking around, not sure if I agree with that but it is better to be on the more safe side around here.

take mushroomhunters advice as well if you have the time.

No, spores are pretty much the same in cali as anywhere else- neither imports nor exports, nor possesion is per se banned.


And yes you can't solicit cali trades here.

yeah well its getting to be a waiting game still waiting on mine from one of the canadian vendors been 16 days of the two to three weeks. I need them for a class. i got lucky and found some flammulina velutipes in my area and was like wtf. printed and their pretty interesting. i figured id try to get these to grow and make a nice meal
