Dex/cough syrup/tussin/Dexamothorpen related to Shrooms

Sorry if this has been answered somewhere, but I looked around and I couldn't find anything about it. I recently tried out cough syrup a few times and I learned that I am enzyme defficient, meaning that this stuff hits me really hard, I'm on a 'robo trip' for about twice as long with after effects lasting about 4 days. This is much longer than normal.  The enzyme defficient part is in my liver, I cant digest milk right either. My experience wtih this stuff has made me very interested in mushrooms. I was wondering if anyone on this website is enzyme defficient or knows somebody that was and has tried mushrooms or knows somebody like that. Or knows anything about how you body digests the psyicilbyn(sp). I just wanted to ask you guys about this before i tried mushrooms, i dont want any 3 day mushrooms trips, that would not be good lol. my advice would be ease it in, take a low dose with a sitter (a friend who your not embarresed around) and see how it works for you.


low dose... maybe a gram? im not sure wait for others to respond as im not to knowledgeable about the specifics.

as far as i know, i too am enzime defficiant however, i have no problems with milk, but shrooms/dxm/E all have taken 3+ hours to work for me, and they hit hard. its possible my liver problem is entirely different from yours.

Thats sounds good to me, take a gram or so with a sitter and you should be fine.

ive drank a 8oz of max strength robo cough, with about 2-2.5 grams of shroomies,
best trip ever. no questions asked. dont try it tho, im just a fucked up kid whos 18 and think he can take on anything, :P

I'm quite certain your enzyme deficiency would have no relation to shrooms.

You can't just be deficient in all enzymes, or you'd probably be dead. Lactose intolerance is one thing, the CYP-2D6 enzyme (which affects tolerance to DXM) is something else. The enzyme relevant to mushrooms is MAO, and people take MAOIs to deliberately disable this. I've never heard of anyone with a natural absence of MAO, if so they would not be able to digest many foods and could even have a heart attack and die from coffee or beer.
