Nobody said it was an alien piloting the ship.

For all I know, it could be some secret government technology that is being tested.
The vehicle may even be controlled from the outside as a drone. Who knows.

I'm just saying that it seems highly likely that we are not the only 'intelligent' beings to exist in the universe.

I agree that in cases such as these 'seeing is believing', and I'm not holding it against you for remaining skeptical either. In fact I promote skepticism, but not unhealthy skepticism.

That HOAX video.. I wouldn't use that as proof that it proves the phenomena untrue.

A person could fake a video to make a UFO appear real, and so could a person fake a video to make a real UFO appear fake. I think it's wise to remain skeptical on both sides.

Oh I agree.  However the technology needed to get them from their home to ours would make contact with us a pretty futile exercise for them. And if they were bent on war they wouldn't have to be secretive about that. Boom boom it's over.  I'm not saying it's impossible of course as they might want to fuck with our minds just for laughs. (Something I would be prone to doing)

In the mean time if we have any real worries about any real danger to ourselves or if we are looking for a savior from our madness both of those can be found in any mirror.

Considering that human-beings have been fighting each other for a long time, I don't see the reason why they would even want to bother making contact with us. They probably just see us as a bunch of noobs.

Yeah I agree. Which is why I don't think they would be bent on war. I would think any 'intelligent' being would find a way towards a sustainable society without having to resort to violence.
