Owning a gun or two is a good idea, defend yourself against counter-insurgency troops, crooked cops, gangs of looters if SHTF, invading Red Chinese, et cetera.

It's like an angry mob with clubs, torches and guns trying to overthrow a superpower with nukes, bombs, more firepower stockpiled that ANY citizen could dream of, not to mention biological weapons, military training, NAVY Fleet, AIR FORCE, US ARMY fleet and those TOP SECRET weapons we don't even know about.

You've bought into the conspiracy theory that China is out destroy and replace us.  As I said, China is totally dependent upon us economically because we are the biggest buyer of their exports.

Given the demographics of who in this country is in the business of forming armed militias and talking about taking down the government (people who are far-right leaning and libertarian-minded), an insurgency against the U.S. government would be a huge threat to China's interests, since a hostile right-wing takeover would surely mean an end to all dealing with socialist China.  Not to mention all the American debt to China, which such a government would surely refuse to acknowledge.  It would ruin China's economy.  They would definitely come to the aid of the current government.  It would not only secure their already-existing interests but given them an advantage over us in future economic dealings.
