I have always found it interesting how people who are against drugs are so against a brave new world/1984 government, when they dont do anything against the law. Like what the fuck would they have to lose? Us drug users are truly the last fronteir on freedom. Thoughts? :sunny:

I would agree with your "last frontier" statement but I really don't think ALL drug users care too much about freedom.

Cocaine, Opiates, Amphetamines; these things end up enslaving the body and mind of almost everyone who uses them. And, while the individual may be aware of this, more often than not they don't act on it. Because they'd rather continue getting high, remain comfortable.

To me this says a lot. Most drug users would accept, with open arms, their own enslavement because to resist would require effort and enormous willpower. Something most addicts refuse to believe they have.

Cannabis users/activists, on the other hand, actively participate in politics and attempt to protest overtly tyrannical legislation. A prime example of the irrationality behind the war on drugs.

I know what you mean. I was talking mainly about psychedelics, the more "mind opening" ones if you will. I was saying how if a big government took over, what would the average, non drug user have to lose? He could still watch football on monday nights and go get drunk at the bar on the weekend, while all things related to mind opening drugs are completely outlawed and cracked down on
