What is it with my rekindled MarioKart obsession?

It just hit me, I was like "Okay, I'm gonna put in MarioKart Wii and dual other people online" and that was like 2 days ago.  I mean I've been playin' MarioKart since my SNES days...but out of nowhere, I've become obsessed with beating all my time trial ghosts.    :wrongway:

I never graduated from Mario Kart 64. I have been playing my nintendo 64 consistently from 6 to 19 years old. Every time I play it I'm like, holy fucking shit. I can't believe this still hasn't gotten old. I can't see myself ever getting a wii even, all I seriously need is my nintendo 64. :thumbup:

I've seen people play mario kart for wii though, and I will admit it looks trippy as fuck.

i think mario kart wii fixed a lot of the problems mario kart 64 had.

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. There is so much that could be improved in the original Mario Kart that it's fucking ridiculous. But there's something that just feels so fucking right about playing the original. Makes me feel like I have at least one thing left still of my childhood. I just feel wrong playing any other version. :grin:

mk64 isnt the original (super mk) but like many 64 games its what all others are compared to

I never had a 64 until after I got a Gamecube.  I always loved playing N64 at my friends' houses. So I bought a N64 with SuperSmash, MarioKart, and SuperMario Golf. I had a SNES for the longest time, so I love that version of MarioKart the most.  Really I just love the SNES, I guess that was my era. I would never want to get rid of my Xbox, but I'm totally a Nintendo kinda chick. :1up:

I never lost my love for it.  64 on a 46" is :awebig:.  I need to get back into zelda.  Stopped playing it at the water temple. 

But yeah I got goldeneye, zelda, golf, kart, but I need to find a copy of harvest moon for less than $30

OMG I can play Zelda for days.  I still haven't beaten Majora's Mask...not that it's hard and I do love it, but sheesh.  I cannot wait for Skyward Sword! :awesome:

One time my friend ate some cyanescens and was fucking dominating Smash Bros, his inner Pikachu was somehow released :mushroom2:
That was the only time he ever consistently beat me, and I was sober!

i love mario kart, but sold my 64 long time ago for a ps2.
