Fanning casing only once a day.

i was told that when you have casing in the terrarium you should only fan once since they need high levels of CO2 for pin formation..

once pins come out then you can fan 2-4 times like normal.. IS this true?

No, this is not true. Pins don?t need hight CO2 to develop.

Fanning 1-3 times a day is enough.

My friend started his around the same time that you did, and is now getting some fat pins!  From the beginning, he fanned and sprayed them twice a day -- once in the morning, and once after the sun went down (how it works in nature, with dew and all).  I?m a newbie but pretty happy with the results :wink:

I?m actually interested in how your stuff is coming out, since my friend?s and yours were started around the same time.

CO2 is desirable during case run.

CO2 is not desirable for primordia formation.

From the Grow FAQ:

What conditions are optimal for pin formation?

The relative humidity should be from 95%-100%, temperature between 70?F and 75?F, the fruiting chamber should be vented 2-3 times a day to displace the CO2

That should answer many of yor questions.

B4rK0d3: mine are not looking as tight as yours thats for sure.. I cant complain thoe. I am at about 5 big pins about 6 ittle babie pins.. what is your friend growing? Mine are Amazon & GT the one thats pining is the Amazon.. I have 3 creeper jars commin soon also
