simple cheap organic hydro OBBT

Here's something I stumbled upon and was wondering if anyone else has tried it. It's said that this way of growing has been around for a while.

I've just barely begun experimenting with it. So far it's looking good. I put a mint cutting in it with just one or two roots that were less than a cm each.

It's basically the best of both worlds or so it's said. You get the organic soil full of goodness. And you get the hydro part too.
