Google is the Antichrist of the Internet?

Think about it..

We all know Microsoft sucks but Google..

They know EVERYTHING about you. They have a picture of your house. Everything you put on the web gets cached on their servers. They are expanding their grasp on the world every day.

And yet..

People treat Google like the Second Coming. When do you ever hear someone seriously rag on this company who's very mission statement is world domination?

What's next, Google Genome where your DNA profile is put online? If the data was there, Google would want it. Its no secret, they want ALL the data of EVERYTHING. Just the name Google (from googol, 10100) tells you their hunger for data is insatiable, so they will not stop until they have it all.

Google Housecall?  Where you can google your mom's name and it tells you whether she's home?

Google is working hard to a monopoly on knowledge and total dependency of the world on their services.

And everybody just loves Google. Great, great PR.

Am I the only one worried?

Both those who consider it to be the second coming or the Antichrist seem to be cut from reality.
You don't want your information on the internet? Stop putting it there. Stop uploading pictures of yourself. Stop using the internet.
It bothers you that people can find your address by using the internet? Maybe the people who invented the phone-book were looking for world domination too. :tinfoil:

I agree with you 100%!
Although I didn't know about the "mission statement is world domination", that's scary!

Another frightening thing is their close connection to the government and sharing of data with them.
