Interesting you post this.  My geology prof had a powerpoint lecture today, and he put in a farside every few slides that actually tied into the material.

Wish I could find the one where two men are in the top end of a canoe angled out of the water, at the other end an alligator is munchin the boat trying to get to the two men at the other end.  One guy screams to the other, "Rub his belly Ernie, rub his belly!"....cracks me up every time.

for some reason this is the one that sticks in my head the most...I suppose cuz I find myself doing just that and remembering the comic.

I used to get a farside calendar every year when I was growing up.
