Anybody good at making professional PowerPoints for presentations

It was driving me crazier than math. It's already late, and a few of us are going Tuesday. It's for our speech class. I like the teacher, but she is so strict with this. If she was strict with the speech, fine, but the PowerPoint, man. She saw mine on her computer and said it looks and 8th grader did it lol, other teachers wouldn't care. What she expects from us should be expected from people who took a course in PowerPoint or something. At least she said my attention grabber I e-mailed her is good. The attention grabber is a big reason I froze during this. I froze so much trying to get the ball rolling 'cause I know how she is. I couldn't even get to the point to e-mail her for help. Now I can, but man.

She said my bullet points are no good, but how else was I supposed to do them, put no words? I know she doesn't want that, and wants them paraphrased, but I wasn't using full sentences for the most part, she didn't even read them.

Any suggestions?

It's on Elvis, who's my favorite artist, so speaking and remembering information about him I'll be fine, but this damn technical stuff is nuts!

Generally speaking, use few words and short concise sentences.  You don't want your audience reading a book off the projection.

Try and use a dark background, with brighter fonts.  Keep your font sizes similar.  Go easy on the animations.  Usually at most, do a simple "appear".

People like graphics more than text.

Man it is not that hard.  I'm a techno-tard and I can do it.  I just did one in an hour and converted it into a fully-animated video on my company's owner representation services program for senior housing.  You can do this.  Stop taking drugs and fucking focus on it.
