If you dont know what im talking about I highly recommend you try it.

And sure, it really depends on the ice cream and the beer so choose wisely.
I myself have some Breyers butter pecan and some Amber Bock dark lagers.

i work at a brewery that makes stout icecream. i wanna live in that stuff. so good.

mmm i'm not sure. if there is any alcohol left in it, it's not very much at all. the cooking process pretty well burns it all off.

ohh okay. is that true with all beer ice creams?

If so, then it would just be better to eat your ice cream while drinking your beer(like me) IMO.:shrug:

Well thats weird to me because the last thing i ever want while drinking any sort of alcohol is thick creamy ice cream, just a HORRIBLE combo in my opinion.

I know what you mena and usually id have the same opinion too, but trust me its so good.

theres alcoholic drinks made with milk/dairy out there.

and the thing is to just eat a little bit of the ice cream and drink more of the beer. :yesnod:

Beer floats ARE cool.  Guinness is the beer of choice, and I like vanilla chocolate chip with it, though it works with a lot of different flavors.  I'd say it's the easiest one to get right as far as ice cream pairings are concerned.

If you go out and get some corona and put it in some rocky road, your luck won't be as good, but if you you put it with some orange sherbet, you've got a whole different experience on your hands.

I drank black butte and ate egg nog flavored ice cream last night and it was awesome. the next day gassiness is so totally worth it.

There were many nights in my early-to-mid 20s where dinner consisted of a pint of Ben & Jerry's and a 6-pack of Guinness. :zombiedrool:
