He can't "fall out", the sides are high enough to hold him because he always stays seated when we're moving.

There have been no mishaps or even a close call in over 5000 miles. I'm not worried, so why should anyone else be?

Finally, if he didn't enjoy riding in the basket, don't you think he'd avoid it or jump out when I stop? He's a VERY smart dog.

It's nice to share ice cream with your dog.

However! Having your dog constantly on the back of your bike like that is a huge invitiation for eye infections, ear infections, bronchial problems and a vast array of other issues.

I also hope that you put zinc or at least sunscreen on him before you go out as I am sure you are aware that lighter coloured dogs are easily more prone to skin cancers (especially around the nose area) than their darker cousins.

Not to mention the safety of the dog if you should have an accident.
