Agaricus Campestris, Pigskin Puffball? and Chicken of the woods MAMA
    #13281482 -

Hey all, we FINALLY got rain in nj and the temps finally dropped! it has been a long, hot, dry summer.

Check out my new loves, and help me id this puffball if you wouldnt mind. the inside is pure white and looks delicious, i cant figure out if its a poison pigskin puffball, the Aaudobon guide says they start out white but the picture is of them way far gone.

Agaricus campestris

Classic fairy ring..

Maybe a red eared slider or snapping turtle

Which puffball do you think?

Beautiful chicken was glistening bright orange through the forest

so i found more of the same puffballs which will make a yummy stir fry tonight.

im wondering if the coloration is just different stages of C. cyathiformis or is it c. cyathiformis and possibly the darker one is C. fragilis. i would love the opinion of people who are more knowledgeable than i. thanks in advance. happy mushrooming
