What's with the negative attitude here?

We've lived through a recession/depression and it's gonna take a while to recover but not that long. Just a matter of years here. The worst part is over, that's what everybody's saying.

Don't worry, this is the best country in the world and by far. I don't see that changing anytime soon at all.

So cowboy up a little, whining doesn't become us.

You obviously don't understand the details.  Just because "everyone" is saying it doesn't make it true.  They are likely just parroting media propaganda outlets and populists like you.

I'd rather stay positive than run around screaming sky's falling.

Also, speaking from experience. The job market isn't anywhere near as bad as it was two years ago. Recovery just takes longer than some people claimed it would. That's how I see it.

A few lessons were learned from this depression. The system will adapt. It always has.

As for the propaganda comment. I am nobody's parrot. I speak for myself and speak only what I believe to be true. I have no hidden agendas or shit like that. I don't care one way or the other.

There are many who would like to see capitalism fail like communism did. And fail it will probably, there can never be a static answer to an evolving problem (humans evolve). We're just not there yet though. And honestly, we wouldn't know what to do if capitalism would fail in a couple of years.

The USA is not Capitalist any more for one...

what if the sky really was was falling?  or if someone was swinging a baseball bat at your head are you going to say "the bat's not real" just to stay positive?

The bat's still going to hit you in the face.

The problem is that the fed/government refuses to let the economy adapt.  They think they can paper over the problem and go on like before, in reality it makes things worse.

"The system" is newer than you think.  the fed is less than 100 years old,  and the USA has only been on pure fiat for about 40 years.

Not only were things different economically during the great depression,  but the fed is in fact repeating the interventionist policies of Hoover and Roosevelt that made things worse back then.

No fiat currency system has ever lasted.  they all have life spans and this one is nearing it's end.


just take a look at the ever growing deficits and stimulus amounts.  When they says "it's not a problem" they're pulling your leg.

I'd rather stay real.
