Calculus math test.

I just need to vent, I had a calculus test today and it owned me. It was my first college math test ever.

My teacher went over all of this stuff that wasnt on the test and then when I get to the test knowing all the mathematical shit like numbers and derivatives he lays a ton of conceptual problems on me.

Im so freaking frustrated... I had straight As and now im effed. On top of this I work a ton during the week so I dont have time to study or workout.

I want / need to get laid, Im pissed because Im unhappy and one of my PJ jars is contaminated. :frown:

Life is hopeless.... just kidding, but it sure looks that way now.

i feel your pain

i have a differential equations/linear algebra exam on thursday

i normally wouldnt care but its been 5 years since i took calc 2 so i find myself in a mad scramble trying to relearn all the integration/differentiation rules/techniques

its times like these i wish i didnt have work midnights every fucking night of the week...but hey i guess thats why i got back into school

I want to do chemical engineering but I feel like im too freaking stupid. I mean I know I am capable of this shit but I dont have time to study my balls off.

Its just frustrating when the teacher throws a curve ball ya know?

Dude I feel you. Just go to his office hours and explain your situation to him. If he is understanding, sometimes they can throw you a good study guide. My teachers did.

I feel ya...engineering biology is my major

My grades have been slipping lately and it sucks because I know I'm more than smart enough but my shit job doesn't give me nearly enough Tim for all the studying

Engineering degrees generally require you to study your balls off.  There is not much you can do to get around that.

If you need help, feel free to post questions here and in the science forum.  There are a few regulars who could help with calculus questions.  But what I really suggest is seeking out your tutors that the school provides.  They are a great resource that is heavily underutilized by the students.  Spend a few hours every week going over the concepts with the tutors, it will help you alot.  Good luck!
